January 1st is often a time to look back at what has been, what might have been. Most of us are not like Captain James T. Kirk, without regrets. We hope for a better tommorrow. With this nostalgic attitude, it might be fun to wax about things not so serious. Here is a look at Star Trek feature film action figures that have are not yet available, at least not by companies. There are many customized action figures made by fans. This is a list of characters which were never available from either Mego, ERTL, Galoob, Sideshow, Playmates, AA, or DST. This list does not include versions of characters, for example, there has been many versions of James T. Kirk, although maybe not one from a specific feature film. Here is hoping that the next Star Trek feature brings more action figures to retail stores, especially before the film when their availability would be a beacon of advertising to those who frequent toy aisles. Which action figures would you appreciate from previous features?

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

• Fun Fact: There was a V'Ger action figure available 1995 from the Playmates movie themed toys.
• Characters not available yet: The Vulcan Elders, Sonak

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

• Fun Fact: There were only a few TWOK action figures available before 2007 when DST celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the feature.
• Characters not available yet: Joachim, Carol Marcus, David Marcus, Kyle

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

• Fun Fact: There were two versions of TSFS action figures available, one from ERTL. Playmates did offer a Kruge action figure.
• Characters not available yet: Maltz, Admiral Morrow, Mr. Adventure, JT Estaban, Styles, Vulcan characters, Torg, Pirate Captain, Valkris

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

• Fun Fact: There have never been Star Trek IV The Voyage Home themed action figures available.
• Characters not available yet: Gillian Taylor with face slapping action, Admiral Cartwright, The Whales, Klingon Ambassador, Amanda, Federation President

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

• Fun Fact: The Galoob action figures were limited to Kirk, McCoy, Klaa, Spock, and Sybok
• Characters not available yet: Vixis, J'onn, Robert Bennett, Caithlin Dar, Alien, Talbot, Korrd

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

• Fun Fact: Although a fan favorite, the action figures have been limited to Chang or Martia
• Characters not available yet: Nanclus, Valeris, Federation President, Gorkon, Worf, Kerla, the Excelsior Crew except Sulu and Rand

Star Trek Generations

• Fun Fact: There has been much more characters available to the TNG era films
• Characters not available yet: John Harriman, Demora Sulu

Star Trek First Contact

• Fun Fact: DST has a very nice film version of Locutus available
• Characters not available yet: Admiral Hayes, Sean Hawk, Nicky the Nose, Ruby

Star Trek Insurrection

• Fun Fact: The rhyl was available as a plush toy
• Characters not available yet: Matthew Dougherty, Artim, Gallatin, Sojef, Tournel, Perim, Regent Cuzar, Librarian

Star Trek Nemesis

• Fun Fact: These were the initial toys from AA which is now DST. DST has available the crew with Nemesis outfits.
• Characters not available yet: Donatra, Tal'aura, Praetor Herin, Suran, Kelly portrayed by Bryan Singer
